Made from paper pulp, ParaSitio resembles biomorphic forms like roots or water rivulets. The title combines the Latin para- (together) with the Spanish sitio (site), punning on “parasito” to suggest a symbiotic sculpture-site relationship. Breaking beyond the frame, it interacts with the surrounding architecture, encouraging viewers to move and discover new perspectives as the pieces seem to transform before their eyes. Weaving site, object and body, ParaSitio invites a meditation on the malleability of place and people within it.
